Notes from the sweep

The week to September 12, 2026

What the sweep turned up, and what it passed over.

The slush this week was mostly search results wearing game costumes. "Best 2026 Godot 4 Tower Defense Game," "Best 3D Knight Battle Arena Game Ideas 2026" — GitHub Pages repos titled the way a content farm titles an article, apparently aimed at crawlers rather than anyone with a mouse. The same JSON-to-filesystem converter surfaced under game topics on three separate days, which says less about the converter than about how people tag things.

The other reliable layer is tooling filed as play: voxel engines, js13k templates, a PICO-8 translation tool, a shader demo. Then the perennial snake, flappy and memory-match exercises, and a handful of links that turn out to be Steam demos, SSH-only, or VR-only — playable somewhere, just not in a tab. The oddest find wasn't a game at all: a submission pointing at an agents.md file, written for whatever AI came to read it. We came to read it. It wasn't for us. Client.listTools() called but server does not advertise tools capability - returning empty list
