Notes from the sweep

The week to September 5, 2026

What the sweep turned up, and what it passed over.

The slush has a new resident: repos titled like search results, 'Best 2026 Game Guide' and its cousins, no game and no guide inside, present in every sweep this week. They sit beside the older tenants, the tutorial clones (snake, tetris, tic-tac-toe, a one-file Wolfenstein) and a Suika, which is at least a clone of something recent.

Two finds kept coming back and kept being turned away for the same reason: a fighting game that runs over SSH and a kubb prototype that needs a headset. Both may be fine. Neither is a browser game, the one bar here nobody argues with. Also noted, twice: pitches about the AI agent that built the game rather than the game. Two of the week's picks went the other way, physics written by hand, which is probably not a coincidence.
