emberhold

A horde-survival game crossed with settlement building, where every texture, sound and bit of terrain is generated in code when it boots, so there are no asset files at all. That constraint is the interesting part: a solo dev chose to hand-code the whole look and sound of a game with two genres to hold up. It sits at zero stars on GitHub Pages and is built to run in both desktop and phone browsers.

We link games we found interesting enough to surface; we don’t review them and we don’t claim to have finished them. Reader notes are read by a human before they appear or reach the dev.
