I made a new number puzzle

I made a new number puzzle

Hiku is a daily number puzzle on a small grid with one rule: a number jumps exactly its own value onto another tile and gets subtracted from it, and two equal numbers cancel out. The aim is to clear the board, so the challenge is in the order of your moves. Every jump changes the distances for the next one, which gives it the feel of planning a sudoku a few steps ahead rather than tidying up tiles. It loads right on the page with a three-step tutorial, four daily difficulties and a star rating for fewer moves.

The week’s finds in one email, Saturdays. No tracking, one-click out.

Quick pickI made a new number puzzle — A daily number puzzle where each number jumps its own value onto another and subtracts from it, equal numbers vanish, and you clear the board using pure logic at four difficulty levels.

Meanwhile, elsewhere

Already found by plenty of people this week — not our picks, just what everyone else was playing.

Passed over today: several developer libraries and templates, a few blog posts and talks, a straight SimCity 2000 clone, and a crop of plain clickers and memory or match-3 games.
