A shared world map where every building can be leveled by tank

World Strike drops you into a tank on a real OpenStreetMap city, maybe even your own street, where you drive with WASD, aim with the mouse and knock buildings down. The rubble stays for everyone, so the world map slowly fills with other players' damage, paint-colored tags and fights over who holds which block. It's a simple idea, and it could be more fun than it sounds because what you wreck is somewhere you might actually know, and it stays wrecked.

The week’s finds in one email, Saturdays. No tracking, one-click out.

Meanwhile, elsewhere

Already found by plenty of people this week — not our picks, just what everyone else was playing.

Passed over today: a few blog posts and talks about making games, engine templates and chart players, a launcher for other people's games, and several straight clones of runners, clickers and voxel worlds.
