novavista 2004

This boots as a fake early-2000s desktop — icons, windows, the whole shell — and the incremental roguelite is something you find by using the OS rather than a menu you click into. The disguise is the actual design decision: progress shows up as programs and system cruft instead of a stat panel, with run structure underneath. Bilingual Spanish/English, zero stars, on a github.io nobody has visited.

The week’s finds in one email, Saturdays. No tracking, one-click out.

Quick picknovavista 2004 An incremental with a desktop to poke at gives you something to do in the first ten seconds and a reason to leave the tab open.

Passed over a pile of tutorial-shaped submissions (memory grids, higher-or-lower, another Minecraft clicker, a DOS Gorillas rebuild), two JSON-to-filesystem utilities and a WebGL boilerplate test that were tagged as games but aren't, three blog posts and a video that aren't playable at all, and a set of glossy country-flag WebGL demos from one dev that are the same asset in two genres.
